Road closure matters - East London latest news

Commuters driving through the centre of East London perhaps from the airport or along the N2 should take note of ongoing road closures along Fleet Street near the CBD. This is causing delays, particularly during peak traffic.

Both the N2  and the R72 which link East London to Port Elizabeth are undergoing road repairs and the resultant stop-go disruptions. The coastal road from East London to Port Alfred (R72) is currently the better of the two options.

Buffalo City Tourism

Wondering where it’s gone? This organisation was unfortunately closed down by the BCMM (Buffalo City Municipal Metro) after they withdrew funding. The role, it is said, has been taken over by the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Association. The writer has endeavoured to find out exactly what (other than enjoying to fruits from sponsoring the African Open Golf Challenge) they have done for East London tourism.
